Smart and Liveable Neighbourhoods and Communities WG

Smart and Liveable Neighbourhoods and Communities are are seen as urban environments of the smart and liveable cities.

The WG approaches relevant topics in an interdisciplinary manner that can be effectively handled on a district or neighbourhood scale, such as: urban planning, large-scale district renovation, energy integration of buildings and energy communities, nature-based solutions, and many others. The WG wishes to involve researchers and practitioners (both technical and non-technical) in the built environment including policymakers within city development. The objectives of the WG are to drive an active exchange forum and to produce high-quality applied research that addresses local contexts and practical realities, therefore helping to bridge the gap between research and practice.
